The Russian-Ukrainian war has now taken on the contours of a religious war between NATO/USA and Russia fought on the skin of Ukrainians and Europeans who are paying a very high price. The economic crisis is taking on the contours of a real tragedy, with inflation at 11.8% in Italy and no glimmer of peace on the horizon.
The principle of freedom adduced for this military adventure is just a cowardly justification by Europe, which uses it to hide its cowardice and its complete political and military subservience to the United States, which rules it with longa manu under the name of NATO, a pseudo-peace alliance.
There is no end on the orizont and Zelensky is now out of control. At the beginning of the conflict he only asked for assistance and weapons, for some time now he has been asking and ordering as if the world was at his feet.
The most recent is the call for a global black-out for Ukraine. One hour of darkness for sopporting Zelensky, who is using his propaganda staff to emotionally blackmail the Europeans. But people are beginning to be fed up with this individual and especially with the restrictions he has to endure in order to defend not a people, but an autarchic group whose shadows of corruption are increasingly ‘clear’ and his collusion with neo-nazi groups are evident.
In Italy, the real economy is collapsing, salaries and pensions are being eroded by inflation, and the number of people – including pensioners and office workers – are forced to ask for a soup at the social kitchens is dramatically increasing. This dramatic picture is aggravated by the energy crisis, which is largely the result of the conflict that continues to be fuelled by arms purchased at the expense of the needs of Italians.
Despite this, the premier is satisfied. He thinks about GDP and not consensus. He forgets to say that he cares little, if at all, about the will of the Italians who do not want to pay for an ideological war that has implications for enormous geopolitical and economic interests.
It is said, or rather the Constitution says, that the sovereignth belongs to the people. There is a third paragraph missing from the Article 1 of the Constitution.
The sovereign belongs to the people, but only on paper. No one has ever felt the need to ask the Italians their opinion about the war. Yet the polls clearly say that over 55% of Italians are against Kiev.
The West and Italy close their eyes to the Ethiopians, the drama of the Kyrgyz, the young sahrawi and the tragedy of the Yemeni children.
They have abandoned the women and people of Afghanistan to their fate. They have turned their backs on Kurdish women so as not to disturb the ‘dictator’ Erdogan, but they are bleeding the peoples of Europe dry for Zelensky and his clique who are fighting for their power interests, for the interests of the US, the British and some European countries who want to get their hands on the rare lands of the Donbass.
It is pure hypocrisy to appeal to the principles of the freedom of peoples by referring to Ukraine, and people are fed up with this and do not want their children to lose hope in the future.
Giorgia Meloni says that if Italy changes its international policy nothing will change?
That is true. But she doesn’t say why. Nothing changes because Italy is not a ‘loyal ally’ of the United States and NATO.
It is simply a loyal subject, or more simply a slave. This is demonstrated by the more than 100 US bases in Italy and the more than 40,000 stars and stripes soldiers that have invaded the “boot” and its Islands since 1945.
Washington decides, Rome obeys.
Is it time for Italy to return ‘sovereign’ and master of its own destiny.
