It was in the air and punctually came the confirmation that Italy is formally at war with Russia.The UNELECTED italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi that the former president of the republic Francesco Cossiga has defined “vile businessman” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6PbcgwzsYo) has solemnly affirmed that Italy will assist Ukraine with humanitarian and military aid.
Draghi’s serious statements put Italy in a state of de facto war with Russia and take it out of its never declared neutrality.
Neutrality means “In the field of international relations, armed neutrality is the attitude of a state or group of states that does not favor either side in a conflict, but declares that it will defend itself against any incursion or attack by any contender“. (Oppenheim, International Law: War and Neutrality, 1906, p. 325).
An undeclared war, but one fought through intermediaries, that will most likely have serious consequences for the country.
On the sidelines of all this, it seems increasingly clear that the world, in order to follow the goals of the US and UK, has completely lost its sense of reality and reason. By following Biden and Johnson and a false sense of closeness to the Ukrainians, we are knowingly slaughtering a people.
Political cowardice and hypocrisy in following the tragic act of a actor who seems to be acting in a tragicomedy – who doesn’t seem to care much about the lives of the Ukrainian people.
What is happening in Ukraine is no longer defense and resistance. It is simply a geopolitical ideology of the two big players – USA and UK – playing war without dignity and Draghi’s Italy (not in the name of the Italian people seriously concerned about the serious socio-economic situation that is devastating the country ), joins in.
USA and UK are the mastermind, Zelensky the armed arm, the ukrainian people the victim .
