U.S. Military Deaths in Afghanistan – 2,233

The Department of Defense has identified 2,233 American service members who have died as a part of the Afghan war and related operations. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans recently:
TUTTLE, Benjamin W., 19, Lance Cpl., Marines; Gentry, Ark.; Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 323, Marine Aircraft Group 11, Third Marine Aircraft Wing, First Marine Expeditionary Force.
ZIMMERMAN, Sonny C., 25, Staff Sgt., Army; Waynesfield, Ohio; First Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, Fourth Brigade Combat Team.
